Spring is almost here

It's hard to believe Katelynn is almost 18 months old.  She has her half birthday the day after my birthday.  My mom was just here for a week and it was nice to see her plus have an extra set of hands.  She walks really well now and is into everything.  The other day I turned my back for a second and she was pulling tissues out of the box by the handful!!  She says no a lot, but I think no means yes and no.  She told my friend and her kids bye bye  after we ate lunch.  It was so cute.  We're going tomorrow to have pictures made with bunnies for Easter.  I am really looking forward to it and hope they turn out well.  Here are some recent pictures my mom took.

15 month check up

I took Katelynn today for her 15 month check up.  Yes, I know I am almost a month behind on taking her.  She weighed 20 pounds which puts her in the 10th percentile for weight and is 30 inches tall.  I told the doctor that she's picky with eating veggies and she said to offer what she doesn't like instead of what she likes.  We will see how that goes...  The doctor said that being picky with foods doesn't normally start until 18-24 months.  She loves carbs and sweets just like her mama unfortunately. :(  She HATES getting her shots, but who doesn't.  She was already upset and the shots just made it worse.  But mom and I took her to Chick-fil-a afterwards which helped and then she took a nap. 

Katelynn is almost 16 months old and I want to document some of the things she is learning.  She now gives kisses and will bring you books that she wants you to read.  She will sit in my lap just long enough for me to read a short book, but then she wants down,  Her favorite book is Baby's First Animals.  We read that one a lot.  She likes to watch Curious George, Blue's Clues, and Sesame Street.  She says oh when she hears the intro music to Curious George.  Here is a current picture.  We have our first official play date today and I hope she has fun.
